Between 2022 and 2025, I led video storytelling for CRY – Child Rights and You, an NGO working across child protection, education, nutrition, and participation in India. I was responsible for developing, filming, editing, and publishing a wide range of videos addressing complex issues such as child trafficking, labour, child marriage, and the right to education. These videos were created for awareness campaigns, grant impact reporting, advocacy, and donor engagement.
Across projects, I worked in varied capacities: as a videographer on the ground, a researcher and script collaborator during pre-production, and a commissioning or supervising producer when working with external filmmakers and animators. The central challenge was to shape a narrative and visual approach that portrayed the lived realities of marginalised communities with care and dignity. This diversity of formats and audiences gave me the opportunity to combine creative direction with strategic communication goals while working closely with regional teams and field staff to bring stories to life.
